When to Keep Your Child Home
In order to protect the health of all students and staff, we ask parents/guardians to keep their children home when they are ill. The following link will provide information on when children must stay home from school and when the school nurse will call parent/guardian if a student becomes ill at school and needs to be picked up. Guidelines for illness at home and at school
Immunization Requirements
Please consult your child's pediatrician to be sure your child has received all required immunizations. Immunization Regulations
Physical Exams
Students entering Kindergarten, Grade 7 and Grade 11 are required to have a Physical Exam. The exam must be completed and submitted on the blue State of Connecticut Health Assessment Record form.
Health Screenings
CT State Statutes mandate that students be screened for potential barriers to education in the schools. The most common problems which can be detected and for which early intervention can be successful are vision, hearing and posture. Click here for additional information on health screenings conducted by the school nurse.
